Delhi Ayushman Kicks Off Tomorrow: Hospitals, Registration, and All You Need to Know

Starting April 5, 2025, Delhi residents will gain access to the transformative Ayushman Yojana, a healthcare scheme promising treatment at select hospitals across the city. From registration steps to the list of facilities offering care, here’s everything you need to know as this landmark initiative launches tomorrow.

Ayushman Yojana is going to be launched in Delhi from tomorrow. Under this scheme, priority will be given to the poorest families of Delhi, especially the families with Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY). One lakh people will be included in this scheme by April 10. Delhi government will sign MoU with the central government tomorrow. This scheme will improve the health services of the city. This scheme was not implemented in Delhi till now.

This scheme includes Ayushman Arogya Mandir, Critical Care Block, Integrated Diagnostic Facilities, PMJAY and National Digital Health Mission. In the first phase, cards will be issued to Antyodaya Anna Yojana and priority families, then its scope will be expanded. Ayushman Bharat Yojana will be implemented rapidly after the MoU is signed.

Who will get the benefit of the scheme first?
Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh has said that the poorest people will be given priority in the Delhi government's Ayushman Bharat scheme. Its aim is to improve the health infrastructure of Delhi. This will provide better primary care to patients and increase health services. Patients' records will be kept digitally, which will lead to better monitoring and management.

He further said that we will first issue cards to those who need it the most, which includes beneficiaries under the Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) and priority families. After this, we will further expand the scope of beneficiaries under the scheme. The Delhi government had approved this scheme in its first cabinet meeting.

The Delhi government has decided to provide a top-up of Rs 10 lakh health insurance in addition to the Government of India's Rs 5 lakh. The Delhi government has increased the healthcare budget by 48 percent for 2025-26.

How many hospitals are there in Delhi?
At present, Ayushman Card is used in more than 70 hospitals in Delhi. After the implementation of this scheme, its number may increase. Treatment can be availed in these hospitals with Ayushman Card.

How to register online?
Visit the official website https://pmjay.gov.in/ or https://beneficiary.nha.gov.in/.
Click on Am I Eligible.
Enter your mobile number and fill the captcha code.
Login with the OTP received on your mobile.
After this, check your eligibility by entering your Aadhar number, ration card number or family ID.
If eligible, select Beneficiary Login or Register option.
Enter mobile number linked with Aadhaar and verify through OTP.
Authenticate with Aadhaar number and OTP
Select the family member whose Ayushman card is to be made.
Fill the required details (name, address, district etc.) and upload passport size photo.
Submit the form.
Offline Registration
Visit your nearest Common Service Centre (CSC), Public Service Centre or listed hospital.
Contact the Ayushman Mitra or employee present there.

What is Ayushman Yojana?
Ayushman Bharat Yojana is a health insurance scheme launched by the Government of India. The scheme was implemented across the country on 23 September 2018. It is one of the largest government-funded health care schemes in the world. It aims to provide free and quality healthcare services to the economically weaker sections. The scheme provides free health insurance up to Rs 5 lakh per year per family.
