New Delhi: In a tragic incident in Delhi's Rohini, a 16-year-old boy was detained on Sunday for allegedly killing his father in a fit of rage. According to police reports, the boy struck his father with a plastic pipe after witnessing him beating his mother. The blow resulted in the father's death.
The situation escalated on Sunday morning when a distress call was received at the Aman Vihar police station around 10:58 am, reporting a murder. A senior police officer confirmed that the body has been sent for a postmortem. Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased man was habitually violent and often assaulted his wife and children over trivial issues, particularly when under the influence of alcohol.
On the day of the incident, the father reportedly began another argument and started physically abusing his wife. Unable to tolerate the abuse any longer, the teenage son intervened and struck his father on the head with a plastic pipe in an attempt to protect his mother. The fatal blow resulted in the father’s death.
