An alarming incident has come to light involving an 11-year-old student at Govt. Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in Delhi. The young girl, a 7th grader, has alleged that she was molested by a self-defense instructor during school hours. The victim confided in her father after borrowing a mobile phone and reported being subjected to inappropriate touching by the instructor.

Instructor Arrested, Investigation Underway

The accused, Satish, a 45-year-old self-defense instructor, has been taken into custody. Satish, who was providing free self-defense classes through an NGO, is not a permanent teacher at the school. Following the complaint, Delhi police have launched a thorough investigation, including questioning the victim and conducting her medical examination and counselling.

Accusations Against School Principal

The girl's father has also criticised the school principal, alleging that she failed to take appropriate action and instead supported the accused instructor. In a statement to ANI, he expressed frustration over the lack of response: "I received a call from my daughter, who is 11 years old, from someone’s phone. She was crying and said that my Karate teacher had touched me inappropriately and also threatened me. We went to the principal, but she was supporting that teacher. We wanted the principal to take action. We are here (at the police station), but no action has been taken so far...We want that teacher to be punished, and the principal must be suspended as she is supporting that teacher."

Formal Complaint Filed

A formal complaint has been lodged at PS Sultan Puri under sections 74 and 351 of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) and Section 10 of the POCSO Act. The Delhi police are actively investigating the case and have assured that justice will be pursued.
