After Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla accepted the notice given by the opposition parties for the no-confidence motion against the government. INDIA opposition alliance decided to send a team of MPs to visit the violence-hit Manipur on July 29 and 30, amid their demand for a detailed discussion of the situation in the state.
Notably, the MPs from the opposition parties have been protesting in Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha over their demand for a detailed discussion on Manipur violence and a statement from the Prime Minister.
The Parliament monsoon session has been facing a logjam since it started on July 20.
While talking to PTI, AAP senior leader and Member of Parliament Raghav Chadha mentioned, “The representatives of the INDIA (opposition alliance) bloc are sending a delegation to Manipur. The objective of this visit is to stand in solidarity with the people of the state.”
