Days after explosion, Whitefield’s Rameshwaram Cafe to reopen for public today

The restaurant was shut after a bomb blast rocked the famous Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru on March 1.

A week after a low-intensity bomb blast that injured 10 people at Whitefield’s Rameshwaram Cafe is set to reopen for business today. According to police officials, they are putting together all the CCTV footages and identified that the accused took two intra-state government buses to get to Ballari before continuing on to an unknown location.

As per ongoing investigation, based on CCTV footage it has been confirmed that the suspect had reached Ballari by changing several buses from Bengaluru. He was seen at Ballari bus stand between 8 pm and 9 pm on March 1. An NIA team was also sent to Ballari for investigation.

Four accused under investigation

Nation Investigation Agency who has taken over the investigation, took jailed terror suspect into custody for interrogation in connection with the bomb blast. NIA has announced Rs 10 lakh prize for his information.

The four accused - Mohammad Suleman, Syed Sameer, Rehman Hussain and Anas Iqbal Shaikh have been taken on body warrants and are being interrogated in the Bengaluru Rameshwaram Cafe blast case. 

Meanwhile, the security has been beefed up across the state and several teams have been created to investigate the case.
