Daylight robbery in Delhi! Armed men on scooter flee with scrap dealer's 97 lakhs

A shocking case of armed robbery has surfaced in Delhi, where a scrap dealer was looted of Rs 97 lakh in broad daylight. According to police reports, the incident occurred in the Brijpuri area of North-East Delhi when the victim was returning to his office in Mustafabad after collecting cash from Old Delhi.

Victim’s testimony and police investigation

The victim, identified as Anees Ansari, a resident of Karawal Nagar and a copper scrap trader, recounted the terrifying incident to the police. He stated that while passing through Brijpuri, two unidentified assailants approached him on a scooter, brandished a firearm, and snatched away his cash-laden bag before fleeing the scene.

Following Ansari’s complaint on February 16, the police registered a case at Dayalpur police station and initiated an investigation. Authorities have launched a search operation to track down the culprits and recover the stolen amount.

Search for the suspects underway

Police teams have been formed to trace the unknown perpetrators. Law enforcement officials are meticulously examining CCTV footage from the area to gather clues and identify the suspects. Efforts are in full swing to crack the case and bring the offenders to justice.
