New Delhi: A shocking incident has come to light in Mumbai, Maharashtra where a daughter has been accused of masterminding the brutal murder of her mother. This heinous act was allegedly sparked by a long-standing feud between the two family members, centered around the daughter's extramarital relationship and her mother's disapproval of it. Mother found dead at home

Priya Naik, the victim, was found dead at her home in Panvel on September 13. The key suspects in the case are her daughter, Pranita Patil, and her alleged accomplice, Nishant Pandey. Pranita had moved back to her mother's house two years ago after a disagreement with her husband, bringing her five-year-old daughter with her.

Daughter's deadly revenge

Pranita's romantic relationship with a young man sparked a heated argument with her mother, Priya, who strongly disapproved of the affair. In an attempt to intervene, Priya restricted Pranita's phone use to prevent her from contacting the man. However, this decision enraged Pranita, driving her to hatch a sinister plot to kill her mother.

Driven by financial desperation, Pranita turned to Vivek Patil, a close acquaintance she considered a brother, and offered him 1 million rupees to carry out the murder. Vivek accepted the proposal and recruited Nishant Pandey, another person Pranita trusted like a brother, to assist in the crime. Tragically, Priya's lifeless body was discovered by her husband, Prahlad Naik, at their home on the night of the murder. Despite emergency medical efforts, Priya was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Investigation is ongoing

The autopsy revealed that Priya had been strangled. Following the discovery, the police initiated an investigation and questioned Pranita. During the interrogation, Pranita confessed that Vivek Patil and Nishant Pandey were involved in the crime. Both suspects have been arrested, while the search continues for any other individuals connected to the case.
