Parliament Security Breach: A shocking incident that happened in Lok Sabha’s Zero Hour on Wednesday has shaken the entire Parliament and its security after chaos broke out when two men jumped from the public gallery into the area where MPs sit, releasing yellow gas from canisters and shouted slogans. However, they were soon overpowered by MPs. Meanwhile, a story of ‘bravery’ is taking the rounds of the internet. Congress National Spokesperson Supriya Shrinate shared a picture of party MP Rahul Gandhi standing in the Lok Sabha chambers while two men jumped inside carrying gas canisters.

Rahul Gandhi’s fearless moment during Parliament Security Breach

Shrinate shared the picture on X and wrote in Hindi, "Don't be afraid. Not just words, but also showed through actions."

The picture was also captioned, "When there was chaos in Parliament, the leader stood with pumped chest."

Details of accused

According to the media reports, the two accused men in the smoke scare incident were identified as Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D. The visitor pass for Sagar was issued under the name of BJP MP Pratap Simha.

The authorities have detained four individuals following yesterday’s Parliament security breach. Concurrent incidents occurred both inside and outside the complex.

A man named Amol and a woman called Neelam were identified as releasing coloured gas and shouting slogans at the exterior perimeter. Meanwhile, internally, a separate man and woman infiltrated the Lok Sabha chamber from the public gallery.

What initial probe say?

As per the preliminary investigations, the four accused were interconnected accomplices, having plotted their audacious stunt over social media amid the symbolic anniversary of a past terror attack.

Tough questions persist over how they penetrated the fortified government site as enquiries continue.

On Thursday, the Delhi Police Special Cell also registered a case under the sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act to probe the major security breach.
