Identified as ACM Sukki, the commander had a bounty of Rs 5 lakh on her head. ACM Sukki, who led a local guerrilla squad, was a high-value target in the ongoing fight against Naxalite insurgency. Her body was recovered after a fierce encounter that marked a significant success for the security forces.Two soldiers martyred in operationTragically, the operation also saw the martyrdom of two soldiers. The Naxalites detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) in Bijapur district, resulting in the deaths of STF constables Bharat Sahu from Raipur and Satyer Singh Kange from Narayanpur. Four other STF personnel and two District Reserve Guard (DRG) jawans were injured in the blast.How did the encounter proceedThe IED explosion occurred in the Tarrem area of Bijapur district on Wednesday night. A joint team of security personnel, returning from an anti-Naxal operation in the dense forests at the tri-junction of Bijapur, Sukma, and Dantewada districts, faced the attack.
