Dantewada: Security forces eliminate top female naxalite commander ACM Sukki

New Delhi: Security forces in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh, achieved a major victory on Thursday, July 18, by eliminating one of the top female Naxalite commanders. Identified as ACM Sukki, the commander had a bounty of Rs 5 lakh on her head. ACM Sukki, who led a local guerrilla squad, was a high-value target in the ongoing fight against Naxalite insurgency. Her body was recovered after a fierce encounter that marked a significant success for the security forces.

Two soldiers martyred in operation

Tragically, the operation also saw the martyrdom of two soldiers. The Naxalites detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) in Bijapur district, resulting in the deaths of STF constables Bharat Sahu from Raipur and Satyer Singh Kange from Narayanpur. Four other STF personnel and two District Reserve Guard (DRG) jawans were injured in the blast.

CM Vishnudev Sai expresses condolences

State Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai expressed deep sorrow over the incident. "The sacrifice of the soldiers will not go in vain. The fight against Naxalism will continue until this menace is eradicated," he stated. His words echo the resolve of the state to combat and ultimately dismantle the Naxalite insurgency that has plagued the region.
