Three people have been detained by police in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh after a Dalit youth was stripped and severely assaulted, a top official said on  Wednesday. Sources claim that the incident occurred three to four days ago, but no cause has been given for it.

A video clip appeared on social media on Wednesday, showing two men taking off the man's clothes and striking him with belts and the butts of domestically manufactured pistols while another person was filming the incident. The man was bleeding in the head.
