The coast between Karachi and Mandvi and near Gujarats Jakhau port have started experiencing landfall due to Cyclone Biparjoy, according to a statement made by Dr Mrityunjay Mohapatra, director general of meteorology at IMD. It is currently situated in the Arabian Sea around 70 km from Jakhau port. It is going roughly 15 kmph right now. Over Saurashtra and Kachchhs coastal districts, the landfall process has started. The event will go on till midnight.The Kachchh region of Gujarat and the South region of Rajasthan will be most affected by the storm, according to the officials. Floods and a lot of rain are also expected.
