The Congress Working Committee (CWC) has decided to appoint Rahul Gandhi as the leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha. This announcement was made by senior party member KC Venugopal on Saturday.  The decision to request Rahul Gandhi to take on this role was made unanimously by the CWC Members of the committee believe that Gandhi is the ideal person to lead the party in Parliament. KC Venugopal, during a press conference, emphasized that the choice was clear and supported by all members.

Awaiting Rahul Gandhi’s acceptance

Although the CWC has made its request, Rahul Gandhi has yet to confirm his acceptance of the position. Venugopal mentioned that Gandhi would make his decision soon, leaving the party and its supporters in anticipation.

Venugopal highlighted that the atmosphere within the CWC is much more positive than it was a few months ago. He pointed out that both leaders and workers are energized, signaling the beginning of a revival for the Congress party. This renewed energy is seen as crucial for the party's future success.

The CWC passed a resolution praising Rahul Gandhi for his contributions to the election campaign.
