Couple found hanging while toddler sleeps beneath them; Posted selfie with son before suicide

Surjeet, 26, and his wife Radha had taken a selfie with their two-year-old son Kartik and posted it on Facebook shortly before ending their lives. The family discovered their bodies when they entered the house to start the submersible pump, causing widespread shock and grief.

Surjeet and Radha were found hanging in the verandah, while little Kartik was sleeping on the bed. The discovery led to immediate chaos as the family rushed to take the couple down and sought medical help in Jaitpur, where they were declared dead by the doctor. The police arrived promptly and sent the bodies for post-mortem, initiating an investigation into the circumstances leading to the suicide.

What led to the tragic step?

Surjeet, originally from Nandgaon, married Radha from Nandpura, Nibohra, four years ago. This was Surjeet's second marriage; his first marriage ended in separation after disputes. The couple had frequent arguments, which may have contributed to their tragic decision. Surjeet worked as a driver and often traveled, adding strain to their relationship.
