New Delhi: Chikkaballapur BJP MP K Sudhakar organized a celebration for his Lok Sabha victory in the Chikkballapur constituency. According to reports, alcohol was openly served and distributed at the event, with attendees forming long queues to collect bottles delivered by trucks. Sudhakar had earlier written to the police department requesting security arrangements and explicitly stating that alcohol would be provided at the party, scheduled to start the stage event at 12:30 pm with food and drink arrangements, as per an official letter from the BJP leader.

Despite Bangalore Rural Superintendent of Police CK Baba's warnings against serving alcohol, citing potential legal consequences, the organizers managed to secure permission from the Excise Department to proceed with serving alcohol. Sudhakar secured victory over Congress candidate MS Raksha Ramaiah by a significant margin of more than 1.5 lakh votes in the Lok Sabha elections for the Chikkaballapur constituency.

The video has surfaced on social media which has been critizied by many.

Established in 1977 post-state reorganization, Chikkaballapur is among Karnataka's 28 Lok Sabha constituencies. The constituency recorded a voter turnout of 77 percent during the second phase of Lok Sabha polls on April 26.

An incident occurred on the same lines where on April 25, the Election Commission seized ₹4.8 crore in cash in Karnataka's Chikkaballapura Constituency, just a day before the second phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2024. An FIR has been filed against K Sudhakar, the BJP's candidate for the constituency and a former minister. Sudhakar was contesting in the current Lok Sabha Elections from Chikkballapura. This incident occurred just a day before the elections were supposed to be held in the constituency,
