Sachin Pilot Visits Fire Victims at SMS Hospital (X/ Sachin Pilot )
Rajasthan News: Congress leader Sachin Pilot visited SMS Hospital in Jaipur on Saturday to meet victims of a recent tragic fire incident. The fire, which occurred when a truck loaded with chemicals collided with an LPG tanker, resulted in a devastating loss of life and injuries. As of now, the death toll has risen to 14, with 26 individuals receiving treatment, some in critical condition.
During his visit, Pilot expressed his condolences and emphasized the importance of providing the best medical care to the injured. He stated, "The injured people are being provided with the best available facilities. It is a tragic incident. This incident must be investigated to know the reasons behind it." He highlighted the growing number of accidents as population and transportation increase, urging both the government and the public to adhere to safety norms.

Pilot also addressed the need for financial assistance for the victims' families. "Our government has provided some financial assistance to the affected individuals, and if necessary, the assistance should be extended not only by the state government but also by the central government," he noted. Many victims were working-class individuals who deserve support during this difficult time.
The horrific accident occurred on Bhankrota Ajmer Road in Jaipur. According to DCP West Jaipur, Amit Kumar, the collision involved multiple vehicles and has resulted in significant casualties. SMS Hospital Superintendent Sushil Kumar Bhati confirmed that 14 patients have died so far, while others remain under critical care. Dr. Bhati stated, "All doctors are trying their best to treat the victims and minimize mortality."
In response to this tragic event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his condolences to the victims' families via a post on X. He expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life and stated, "Condolences to those who lost their loved ones. May the injured recover soon." The Prime Minister announced an ex gratia payment of Rs. 2 lakh for each deceased's family and Rs. 50,000 for those injured.
