The charred remains of president of the Congress partys Tirunelveli East District Committee KPK Jeyakumar Dhanasingh, aged 60, were discovered on his farm in Karaichuthupudur near Thisayanvilai on Saturday, May 4. Authorities suspect foul play, indicating a possible murder followed by the burning of the body.The Congress leader was last seen at his residence around 7 PM on May 2. Concerned about his absence, his son, Karuthaiah Jefrin, filed a report with the Uvari police on May 3. Following a search operation, police recovered Jeyakumars charred remains from his 10-acre farm adjacent to his home.
