Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal lashed out at the ruling-BJP lead government at the Centre on Monday accusing it of the misuse of the probe agencies for the political benefits. He added that the mega opposition meeting at Bengaluru will be a ‘Game changer in India politics.’
While addressing the press conference in Bengaluru ahead of the opposition meeting, Venugopal said that the first meeting that happened on June 23 was a success. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh and Karnataka deputy chief minister DK Shivkumar also joined him during the conference.
Venugopal said that 26 opposition parties’ leaders are united for a common purpose, to save the democracy and to ensure that constitutional rights are protected in the country.

“Tomorrow 26 political parties will participate in the Bengaluru meeting. We will decide the future course of action during the meeting which will be a game changer for the Indian political scenario. We will also chalk out the Parliament strategy. Now they (BJP) are also meetings, this is the real success of the opposition unity,” he said.
“These all are under attack by the present regime of the BJP Govt. They want to silence the Opposition’s voice. They are misusing agencies to suppress the voice of the Opposition. The disqualification of Rahul Gandhi from the Parliament is one of the biggest examples of that. The incident happening in Maharashtra is also an example…”
Congress general secretary KC Venugopal added “It was a big beginning in Patna, now this meeting is a continuation. We will consolidate it further.”
