Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi during an election rally in Rajasthan's Chittorgarh. He criticized PM Modi for his handling of the India-China border standoff, labeling him the 'Sardar of liars.' Kharge accused the PM of neglecting the border tensions with China and instead focusing on attacking the Gandhi family.

Kharge questioned PM Modi's response to China's alleged incursion into Indian territory, stating that the PM seemed indifferent or asleep to the situation. He sarcastically asked why PM Modi, known for his assertiveness, allowed China to seize a significant portion of Indian land. Kharge insinuated whether the PM had taken 'sleeping pills' or was influenced by opium from Rajasthan's fields.

Furthermore, Kharge criticized the BJP government for allegedly absolving corrupt leaders once they switched parties, claiming that they miraculously became clean once they joined the ruling party. He mocked Union Home Minister Amit Shah, referring to him having a 'very big washing machine' that cleanses corrupt politicians.

Kharge also accused central agencies like the Enforcement Directorate and the Income Tax Department of targeting Congress leaders while letting off those who join the BJP. He cited examples of political leaders facing criminal charges who were cleared after joining the ruling party.

Referring to the BJP's recruitment of leaders from other parties, Kharge highlighted that most of them had their legal troubles resolved once they aligned with the BJP. He criticized PM Modi for continuously targeting the Gandhi family, reminding the audience of Sonia Gandhi's sacrifice and her decision to nominate an economist as the prime minister despite having the opportunity to take the role herself.
