According to the list, the party has nominated Amit Ola for Jhunjhunu, Aryaan Zubair for Ramgarh, Deen Dayal Bairwa for Dausa, Kastoor Chand Meena for Deoli-Uniara, Ratan Choudhary for Khinswar, Reshma Meena for Salumber (ST), and Mahesh Roat for Chorasi (ST).

The Indian National Congress has released the list of its candidates for all seven seats in the upcoming by-elections in Rajasthan, scheduled for November 13. The party has strategically fielded prominent names across key constituencies in its bid to secure a strong foothold in the state.

In the latest list, Congress has nominated Amit Ola for Jhunjhunu, Aryaan Zubair for Ramgarh, Deen Dayal Bairwa for Dausa, Kastoor Chand Meena for Deoli-Uniara, Ratan Choudhary for Khinswar, Reshma Meena for Salumber (ST), and Mahesh Roat for Chorasi (ST). The party’s focus appears to be on diverse representation, with candidates from various regions and communities.

Chief minister Govind Dotasra expresses optimism

Rajasthan Chief Minister and Congress leader Govind Dotasra extended his congratulations and optimism to the party's candidates. Posting on X (formerly Twitter), he said, "Hearty congratulations to all the Congress candidates and best wishes for victory in advance. I have full faith that in the by-elections, the public will support us by electing Congress candidates with a significant margin and will teach the failed BJP government a lesson."

By-elections in Rajasthan and across India

The by-polls in Rajasthan are part of a larger electoral process affecting 48 Assembly constituencies across 15 states. In addition to Rajasthan, states such as Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, and others will also witness by-elections on November 13. The counting of votes will occur on November 23.

Election commission of India's timeline

The Election Commission of India had earlier announced that the by-polls would take place in two phases. The first phase covers 47 Assembly seats and the Wayanad parliamentary seat in Kerala, while the second phase, on November 20, will address the Kedarnath Assembly seat in Uttarakhand and the Nanded parliamentary seat in Maharashtra.
