Crime News: A disturbing case of alleged misconduct involving a school teacher and a class 6 student has surfaced in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh. The teacher, identified as Sanjay Gupta, was reportedly assaulted by the girl's family and villagers after he allegedly attempted to misbehave with the minor and held her captive in his home. The incident has sparked outrage in the local community, leading to a police investigation.
The incident took place in Mahmoodabad, at Ashutosh Brajmohan Lal Inter College, where Sanjay Gupta teaches. According to reports, the young student was on her way to school at around 7 AM when the teacher allegedly intercepted her and coaxed her into his residence under the pretext of talking. Once inside, Gupta reportedly made inappropriate advances, asking the girl to "come to the bedroom."
Shocked and scared, the girl tried to leave, but the teacher allegedly threatened her, stating, "If you don’t listen to me, I will fail you." The situation escalated when Gupta allegedly locked the student in a room and physically assaulted her. The teacher then left the house, leaving the child alone in the locked room.
When the girl did not return home from school, her family became concerned and began searching for her. Local villagers informed them that they had seen the girl entering Sanjay Gupta’s house earlier that morning. Alarmed by this information, the family rushed to the teacher’s residence.
Upon arrival, they heard the girl’s cries from inside a locked room. They broke the lock and found the child in a distressed state. According to sources, the girl immediately embraced her father and revealed the ordeal she had suffered. Enraged, the girl's family, along with some villagers, confronted Gupta and physically assaulted him in retaliation for his actions.
The local police were informed of the situation, and officers quickly arrived at the scene. The police intervened, rescuing the teacher from the mob and escorting him to a hospital for medical treatment, as he had sustained injuries in the assault.
A formal complaint has been lodged against Sanjay Gupta by the girl’s family, and the authorities have registered a case. Police officials have confirmed that an investigation is underway to gather further evidence and verify the claims. Superintendent of Police Abhinandan stated that strict action will be taken once the investigation is complete.
As of now, Sanjay Gupta remains hospitalized and under police custody, while the investigation continues. The case has brought attention to the issue of student safety and the need for stricter measures to prevent such incidents in educational institutions.
