AAI Completes Airspace Design

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) announced the completion of airspace design and flight procedures for the Navi Mumbai and Noida International Airports. These new airports are slated to begin operations in April of this year. AAI collaborated with Boeing India, utilizing Boeing's Total Airspace and Airport Modeler (TAAM) for comprehensive simulation and conflict analysis.

Enhanced Operational Efficiency

The new designs and procedures aim to optimize flight efficiency, reduce emissions, and shorten flight times along the busy Delhi-Mumbai air corridors. The AAI's expertise ensures the safe and efficient integration of the new airports with existing operations at Delhi's IGI and Mumbai's CSMIA airports. The Instrument Flight Procedures (IFPs) have been validated by a domestic airline and approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) India for implementation.

Commitment to Growth and Sustainability

AAI's Chairman, Vipin Kumar, emphasized that the collaboration with Boeing India confirmed arrival and departure protocols for the new airports. This initiative supports India's aviation growth, aligning with the Aatma Nirbhar Bharat initiative by driving sustainability and innovation through advanced technology. These advancements promise to ease the workload for air traffic controllers while maintaining safety between aircraft.
