Crime News: In a tragic incident at Jamia Naeemia Residential Madrasa in Uttar Pradesh's Balrampur, a Class 2 student was stabbed to death. The discovery of the young boy's body on Friday morning prompted immediate police intervention. Police have detained the madrasa teacher and several students for questioning but have yet to determine the perpetrator or the motive behind the murder. Notably, the CCTV camera in the madrasa stopped functioning just hours before the murder occurred.

How did it happen?

The victim, 12-year-old Ayan, son of Mahfooz Alam, had been admitted to the madrasa from Bhagwanpur. Despite its operation as a residential school, the madrasa lacks official authorization for such activities. Ayan's brother, Farhan, recounted that Ayan was instructed to sleep in room number 12 on Thursday night alongside roommates Ismail and Wakil. Upon waking the next morning, they discovered Ayan had been brutally attacked, with severe stab wounds evident.

The police, informed by madrasa manager Athar Feroz, quickly arrived at the scene. Superintendent of Police Vikas Kumar and SHO Ashok Singh conducted a thorough investigation, with forensic experts examining the crime scene. Notably, there was no blood in the room, suggesting Ayan was murdered elsewhere before being placed back in the room.

CCTV malfunction raises suspicions

A hindrance in the investigation is the madrasa’s CCTV system was reported. It stopped working at 4:30 PM on Thursday and mysteriously resumed at 8 AM on Friday. The timing of the malfunction raises suspicions about the involvement of someone familiar with the madrasa’s operations.

Police investigation underway

The madrasa, which houses 276 registered students, including 80 residential students, is under scrutiny. The room where Ayan slept lacked a functional internal lock, raising further security concerns. Police have restricted access to the crime scene and are interrogating several teachers and students in hopes of uncovering new leads.

Ayan's grandmother, Reshma, visited the school following the tragedy. The madrasa is enveloped in an atmosphere of sorrow and silence, with key witnesses, including Ismail and Wakil, reluctant to disclose details.

SP Vikas Kumar has assured that the investigation will yield results within 24 hours. The local community remains tense as they await answers and justice for the young victim.
