Tamil Nadu News: A heartbreaking accident claimed the life of Pradeep Kumar, a video journalist and part-time Rapido driver, on Tuesday night in Chennai. Kumar was fatally injured after his motorcycle was struck by a speeding BMW on the Maduravoyal-Tambaram elevated bypass.

Collision Details and Abandoned Vehicle

The victim, a resident of Pondy Bazaar and cameraperson for a renowned Telugu news channel, met his untimely demise when the luxury vehicle hit his bike. Shockingly, the driver of the BMW abandoned the car at the accident scene and fled.

Alerted by commuters who noticed the deserted car, police arrived at the location and discovered Kumar's damaged motorcycle. However, the victim's body was not immediately located, adding to the tragedy of the incident. Following an investigation into the sequence of events, police found Kumar’s body approximately 100 meters away from the point of collision. The impact of the crash had thrown him off the elevated highway onto the lower level, resulting in fatal injuries upon landing.

Search for the Driver Underway

Law enforcement officials have launched a manhunt for the driver of the BMW, who remains at large. Authorities are also examining the vehicle and nearby CCTV footage to gather additional clues. Investigations into the circumstances leading up to the fatal accident are ongoing.
