The driver, identified as 23-year-old Sanjay, a law student, was seen driving under the influence of alcohol. His girlfriend, Veena, was also present in the car. Media reports indicate that Sanjay was legally accountable for driving while intoxicated, drawing immediate legal repercussions.
Following the video's spread online, the local police arrested the couple. They face charges of reckless driving and violating road safety norms. The authorities tracked their vehicle through its license plate and subsequently seized the car.

The Thoraipakkam police, located about 20 kilometers from the initial location, registered a case and seized Sanjay’s vehicle, ensuring that the incident was thoroughly addressed by law enforcement.
