Rajasthan News: Four individuals tragically lost their lives in a devastating truck accident on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway early Friday morning. The collision, which involved multiple trucks, occurred near a petrol pump, leading to a catastrophic fire that engulfed several vehicles. According to police reports, the incident resulted in burn injuries to several others, and there are fears that the death toll may rise.

Details of the Incident

The accident was reportedly caused by a truck loaded with chemicals that collided with other trucks. Manish Gupta, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Bhankrota, stated, “The fire has engulfed several trucks. The number of trucks involved in the incident is not clear. Some people with burn injuries have been rushed to hospitals in ambulances.” Emergency services were deployed promptly, and fire brigades worked tirelessly to control the blaze as traffic on the busy highway came to a halt.

Emergency Response

At approximately 8:15 AM, fire crews were still battling the flames at the scene. The swift response from emergency services was crucial in managing the situation and providing medical assistance to those injured. Eyewitnesses reported chaos as bystanders attempted to help the victims while waiting for ambulances to arrive.

In a separate incident earlier this week, another fire broke out in Jaipur at a market located on MI Road. This blaze occurred on Wednesday evening and resulted in damage to three shops; however, no casualties or injuries were reported. Hawa Singh, SHO of Jalupura Police Station, noted that local residents alerted authorities about the fire, which was brought under control within an hour.“I was patrolling when a local informed me about the fire in a shop in the car market. I immediately informed the control room. The fire brigade arrived and controlled the fire,” Singh explained. The extent of damage from this incident is still being assessed.

The tragic events on Friday morning highlight ongoing concerns regarding road safety and emergency preparedness on highways. As investigations continue into both incidents, authorities are urged to examine safety protocols and response strategies to prevent future tragedies.
