Chaos in J&K Assembly: For the second consecutive day, intense disruptions rocked the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly on Friday, as heated arguments escalated to the point where multiple members, including Khurshid Ahmad Sheikh, brother of MP Engineer Rashid and MLA of Awami Ittehad Party, were forcibly removed from the House. Protesters in the Assembly raised slogans against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), intensifying the already charged atmosphere.

The turmoil erupted as National Conference MLA Javid Beg took the floor to deliver his speech, triggering a backlash from opposition members. BJP MLAs soon moved toward the well of the House, demanding a rollback of the resolution concerning Jammu and Kashmir's special status. Following this, Speaker Abdur Rahim Rather ordered the marshals to escort Sheikh and 11 other MLAs from the Assembly.

In the aftermath, 11 remaining BJP MLAs staged a walkout in protest, intensifying the assembly’s growing discord over the special status issue. Speaker Rather instructed marshals to prevent the expelled MLAs from re-entering the House, a move intended to restore order amid ongoing tension.
