 Speculation surrounding Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma’s divorce has taken a sharp turn, with the real alimony amount surfacing ahead of tomorrow’s verdict. Far from the rumored ₹60 crore, the emerging figure offers a clearer picture of the settlement in this closely watched separationOut of this, Chahal has also paid Rs 2.37 crore to Dhanashree. It is known that there was a rumor that Chahal has given an alimony of 60 crores to Dhanashree, but later it turned out to be a lie. Dhanashree's family also denied this.

Dhanashree and Chahal have not been living with each other for a long time and the case for divorce is going on in the family court. According to Bar and Bench, High Court judge Justice Madhav Jamdar ordered that keeping in mind Chahal playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL), the family court will have to decide on the divorce petition by tomorrow. Under Section 13B of the Hindu Marriage Act, a six-month cooling off period is given for divorce. Dhanashree Verma had filed a petition in the High Court to waive this period, so that the divorce can be decided quickly. Dhanashree and Chahal have been living separately for the last two and a half years and keeping this in mind, the High Court gave this order.

Divorce Verdict Tomorrow

During a case in 2017, the Supreme Court had accepted that if there is no scope for resolving the dispute between husband and wife, then the period of six months can also be waived. Chahal is Team India's star cricketer and leg spinner, while Dhanashree is a well-known social media influencer. Both got married in December 2020, but then started living separately after June 2022. After this, the matter went to the Family Court of Mumbai for divorce. Recently, Chahal and Dhanashree also reached the court for hearing. Both had sought exemption from the six-month cooling period period from the Family Court, but on February 20, the court refused it, which shocked Chahal and Dhanashree.
