CEO of Parsvnath Landmark Developers arrested after 60 km chase by Delhi police

New Delhi: Delhi Police arrested Sanjeev Jain, Director and CEO of Parsvnath Landmark Developers, a subsidiary of Parsvnath Developers, on Sunday. The arrest was made after a non-bailable warrant was issued against him for failing to appear before the Consumer Commission on July 18.

According to the police, they had received information that Sanjeev Jain was attempting to flee the country. Based on this tip-off, the police laid a trap and began chasing him. A thrilling cat-and-mouse game ensued between the Delhi Police and Sanjeev Jain, spanning approximately 60 kilometers. Despite his efforts to escape, Jain managed to reach the airport but was ultimately caught by the police.

CEO caught after 60km chase

After his arrest, Sanjeev Jain was produced before the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission. Shahdara Deputy Commissioner of Police Surendra Chaudhary revealed that a complaint was filed against Jain in 2017, and five warrants - four non-bailable and one bailable - were pending against him at the Shahdara police station. The Special Task Force had been trying to execute these warrants.

The police had received information that Jain was hiding in an apartment in DLF Phase-2, Gurugram, Haryana. When they arrived, Jain managed to escape, leading to a 60-kilometer chase before he was finally caught. The police were able to apprehend him due to their swift action and coordination.
