Two back-to-back explosions near two popular clubs in Chandigarhs Sector 26 on Monday night have raised suspicions of an extortion attempt. The blasts occurred outside Seville Bar and Lounge, owned by singer and rapper Badshah, and De Orra Club. Although no injuries were reported, the damage to property was significant. Initial investigations suggest that extortion could be the motive behind the blasts. In October, a petrol pump in Mansa district was targeted with a crude bomb, followed by an extortion demand of Rs. 5 crore.
