CBI goes hard! Nabs four in connection with trafficking of Indian nationals for Russian Army

The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested four accused in connection with trafficking of Indian Nationals to serve in the Russian army. Sharing a press note on Tuesday, the investigation agency said that two accused who have been identified as Arun and Yesidas Junior were arrested from Kerala on March 6, while the other two Nijil Jobi Bensam and Anthony Michael Elangovan were nabbed from Mumbai. 

According to the officials, the accused were part of the international network of human traffickers. The police have started further investigation in the case.

The officials further informed that these individual traffickers were luring the Indian nationals through social media handles or agents for highly paid jobs in Russia.

As per the press release, accused Nikil Jobi was working in Russia as a translator and was among the key members of the network. Another accused Michael Anthony was facilitating his co-accused Faisal Baba based in Dubai. Whereas, Arun and Yesudas Junior were the main recruiters of Indian nationals belonging to Kerala and Tamil Nadu for the Russian Army.
