The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested the chief minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal in alleged connection with the Delhi liquor policy case. Meanwhile, the court has allowed the CBI to examine Kejriwal in the court and to produce the documents they have for his arrest.

Opposing the decision, the Aam Aadmi Party taking it to its official handle said that BJP has hatched a conspiracy against Kejriwal to get him arrested by CBI in a fake case. The tweet further reads, “Every conspiracy of BJP will be answered, truth will win in the end.”

The probe agency while presenting him in Delhi Rouse Avenue court said that the agency could have performed the exercise earlier, but was holding it because of the Lok Sabha elections.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court will hear Kejriwal’s petition against the Delhi High Court order putting an interim bail stay in money laundering case linked to the Delhi Excise policy case.

Kejriwal has been arrested against the allegations of irregularities of now scrapped Delhi Excise Policy of 2021. The probe in the case was started in July 2022.
