Viral News: In recent times, the phenomenon known as 'Digital Arrest' has surged in India, prompting even Prime Minister Narendra Modi to urge citizens to safeguard themselves against this alarming scam. The method employed by scammers is deceptively simple yet effective. A fraudster impersonates a police officer, often appearing in uniform during a video call, and concocts a narrative claiming that a police case has been lodged against the victim.
Following this, the scammer declares that the individual is under 'digital arrest' and demands money to resolve the fictitious issue, leading victims to lose substantial amounts of money—sometimes even crores of rupees.

However, there is a silver lining: more people are becoming aware of these fraudulent tactics and are taking steps to protect themselves. This heightened vigilance has, in some instances, thwarted scammers' attempts.

He further mocks the scammer by calling him 'nakli vardi' (fake uniform), which causes the fraudster to crack up and ultimately hang up the call in defeat.
It is crucial for individuals to recognize that 'digital arrest' is a fabrication with no legal standing. Awareness and education are key in combating such scams. Citizens are encouraged to remain vigilant and skeptical of unsolicited calls or messages claiming legal action against them.
As scams evolve, so must our defenses against them. The story of this humorous encounter serves as a reminder of the importance of skepticism and awareness in our digital age. By staying informed and caut
