A significant traffic accident took place on Monday night close to KM Chowk in Dwarka's Sector 12, Delhi, when part of a service lane gave way, engulfing a vehicle and inducing considerable alarm among travelers. Thankfully, two people who were trapped inside the car were rescued by nearby locals. Officials have not yet provided a formal statement pertaining to the incident.

Political Blame Game Erupts Former AAP MLA Gulab Singh Yadav lambasted the BJP-led government, attributing the decline of infrastructure to them. Yadav took to social media to comment sarcastically, "As soon as they took charge today, the BJP began operating swiftly. This area is KM Chowk in the Matiala assembly district, where everyone from the MP to the MLA and Municipal Councilor is affiliated with the BJP. The residents of Delhi must stay vigilant and ready, as they will have to endure this for the next five years. "

Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Reviews Infrastructure Issues In the meantime, newly appointed Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta convened a meeting on February 22 with officials from the Public Works Department (PWD) and the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) to evaluate the conditions of the roads and water supply within the city.

"An essential meeting occurred with officials from Delhi Jal Board and PWD to address water supply challenges and the state of damaged roads and drainage systems. We are consistently working for the ease and advancement of Delhi residents," Gupta posted on X (formerly Twitter).

BJP Shifts Blame to AAP’s Past Governance BJP representatives responded to the accusations, holding the former AAP-led administration responsible for the poor condition of Delhi’s roadways, water scarcity, and overflowing sewage systems.

Delhi Cabinet Minister Kapil Mishra, who toured Khajuri Chowk, declared, "The entire Cabinet is on-site. The Chief Minister has mandated that all officers work tirelessly. The irresponsible governance under Arvind Kejriwal has come to an end, and all officials must now conform to Modi ji's work ethos. "

Authorities Yet to Issue Official Statement As inquiries progress, officials are anticipated to disclose information about the reasons behind the road failure and proposed repair strategies. Residents have been advised to exercise caution while traveling in the impacted zones.
