18-month-old child crushed to death under car driven by father in Bengaluru

Similar incident happened when Shazia Jannat, a one-and-a-half-year-old baby, was fatally struck by a car driven by her father, Shabik Mehdi, in Agara village, HSR Layout, Bengaluru. The child had returned from Channapattana with her parents after attending a family function earlier that evening. As Shabik Mehdi, a 31-year-old businessman, began to unload luggage from the vehicle, other family members entered the house. Meanwhile, Shazia wandered outside and stood near the front door of the car. Unaware of her presence, Shabik got into the driver’s seat to drop off his sister-in-law and her children at their residence. As he maneuvered the car, Shazia, standing by the front door, was struck and crushed under the rear wheel of the vehicle, resulting in her tragic death.
