Tripura: BJP wins by-elections in Dhanpur, Boxanagar assembly seats

According to the election commission, BJP won the by-elections to the Dhanpur and Boxanagar assembly seats in Tripura’s Sepahijala district according to the Election Commission.

BJP’s Tafajjal Hossain won the Boxanagar seat, which has around 66% minority voters, by 30,237 votes. Whereas, Hossain got 34,146 votes, while his nearest rival Mizan Hossain of the CPI(M) got 3,909 votes.

Jharkhand: JMM candidate Bebi Devi leading in Dumri

JMM candidate Bebi Devi has been leading by 1,341 votes over AJSU party rival Yashoda Devi in the by-election to the Dumri Assembly seat in Jhakhand’s Giridih district. After two rounds of counting, the JMM candidate, who is also the INDIA bloc nominee had secured 7,314 votes, while the AJSU Party candidate, an NDA nominee, got 5,973 votes.

Uttarakhand: Congress leads in Bageshwar

Congress is leading over BJP in the Bageshwar assembly by-election, with its candidate Basant Kumar leading by 195 votes over Parvati Das. According to the numbers found during the second round of counting, Kumar had garnered 4,554 votes while Das had polled 4,359 votes so far, Bageshwar District Magistrate Anuradha Pal said.

Ghosi by-election, Uttar Pradesh: SP candidate takes lead

Samajwadi Party candidate Sudhakar Singh is leading with 178 votes over BJP’s Dara Singh Chauhan. After the first round of counting, according to the Election Commission of India, Singh has garnered 3,381 votes, while Chauhan has got 3,203 votes so far.
