Burqa-clad man attacks law student with acid, UP Police arrests accused in 36 hours | VIDEO

New Delhi: An LLB student was subjected to a horrific acid attack in Pilibhit district by a man disguised in a burqa. The incident, which took place earlier this week, was reportedly carried out by Atul, a clerk working for a local lawyer. The victim, who was also an intern at the same lawyer's office, had recently stopped communicating with Atul, which allegedly angered him and led to this brutal act.

According to reports, Atul, unable to accept the victim’s decision to distance herself, planned the attack in disguise. On the day of the incident, he approached the victim while wearing a burqa and threw acid on her. The police swung into action swiftly and apprehended Atul within 36 hours of the attack. During the arrest, a confrontation occurred, resulting in Atul being shot in the leg by the police.
