Pak drone: In another successful operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) intercepted a Pakistani drone, laden with drugs, near the International Border in Punjab's Amritsar district. The quadcopter, identified as the DJI Mavic 3 Classic model, was recovered along with approximately 470 grams of heroin from a farming field near Dhanoe Khurd village in Amritsar.

The Drug Seizure Operation

Acting on intelligence input, BSF conducted searches beyond the border fencing in the afternoon, leading to the recovery of the drone and the illicit substance around 12.45 pm. The narcotics, concealed in a packet and weighing 470 grams, were wrapped with yellow adhesive tape, featuring a metal ring attachment, as detailed in the BSF statement.

BSF's Vigilance and Successful Intervention

This latest intervention by the vigilant BSF troops showcases their dedication to thwarting the nefarious activities of smugglers. Despite the challenges, the border guarding force continues to uphold security and prevent illegal activities along the India-Pakistan border.

BSF's Mandate and Past Successes

The BSF, operating under the Ministry of Home Affairs, is entrusted with safeguarding the 3,323-km India-Pakistan border, spanning Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, and the Union Territory of Ladakh. In 2023 alone, the BSF successfully seized over 100 drones, preventing the smuggling of more than 72 kg of heroin across the border.

As the BSF remains committed to securing the nation's borders, the interception of the China-made Pakistani drone stands as a testament to their unwavering efforts in curbing illegal activities and maintaining the integrity of the border region.
