Attack on Army convoy: Terrorists fired at army vehicles in Khanetar area of the Poonch district on Friday. As per the reports, the Commanding officer's vehicle was also attacked as terrorists fired from a hilltop. Forces have been rushed to the spot. The Army convoy was heading to Daradhullian Khwadia area of the district. The terrorists targeted the vehicle of the Commanding Officer of the local Rashtriya Rifle's Unit.

According to media reports, the incident was reported at around 6.20 PM this evening. This attack came hours after Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi held a meeting with authorities from all forces and central intelligence agencies to conclude the 'terror action strategy' aimed to pull apart the terror ecosystem districts of Rajouri and Poonch.
The attacks come weeks after a vehicle of the Indian Army was attacked by militants in the area, which claimed the lives of six army personnel. However, no word from officials has been released on the matter, so far. More details awaited.
