New Delhi: On Monday morning, 40 Delhi schools including DPS RK Puram and GD Goenka School were the recipients of alarming bomb threats. According to reports, the threats were communicated via email, prompting immediate action from school administrations and local authorities.

Students Sent Home Amidst Heightened Security Concerns

As the clock struck 7 AM, a peak time for school activities, with buses arriving and parents dropping off their children, the threat was received. In response, school officials swiftly decided to send students back home to ensure their safety. The Delhi Police and Fire Department were promptly notified of the situation. An official stated, 'The safety of our students is our top priority, and we cannot take any chances,' reflecting the urgency of the response to such threats.

A Pattern of Threats: Echoes of Previous Incidents

This incident comes on the heels of a similar occurrence in October when multiple Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) schools received bomb threats. Following an explosion outside a CRPF school in Rohini's Prashant Vihar, schools were warned of potential bomb blasts, leading to heightened security measures. Fortunately, investigations revealed those threats to be hoaxes.

Authorities are currently investigating the latest threats to DPS RK Puram and GD Goenka School, with more details expected to emerge as the situation develops. The community remains on high alert as these incidents raise concerns about safety in educational institutions across the city.
