A violent bomb attack in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar has left the local community in shock. The incident occurred late Monday night in the Maniyari police station area, specifically in the village of Baghi Vishunpura Madhau. Several homes, including those of Mohammad Sagir, Mohammad Kaleem, and Murshid, were targeted by criminals who threw bombs at the houses. CCTV footage from Sagir's house captured the moment of the bomb attack, showing assailants launching explosives.
Following the attack, Sagir filed an FIR, naming eight individuals from the village and implicating several unknown suspects. The police acted swiftly, conducting an FSL investigation on Tuesday to gather more evidence. As a result, two named suspects were arrested, though others managed to flee the scene.
Maniyari police station head, Devvrat Kumar, confirmed that the police arrived at the location late Monday night and conducted an initial investigation. “We have arrested two individuals in connection with the bombing incident,” Kumar said, adding that a history-sheeter from the village might be involved. SDPO Western-2, AC Gyan, also stated that the bomb attack was verified during the investigation. Furthermore, police found bullet marks on the victim's car.
Sagir reported that the bomb attack appeared to be an attempt on his life. "More than a dozen bombs were thrown at our house, and they shot at my car," Sagir explained. The assailants, he said, entered his property from the rear and climbed onto the roof, continuing the assault by throwing bombs and shouting threats. Neighbor Mohammad Kaleem also experienced the same terror, with a bomb thrown at his home. Kaleem's elderly grandfather narrowly escaped harm when the bomb exploded near his son, Mohammad Shahiduzzaman.
In addition, another bomb attack took place at the home of Mohammad Murshid, where his son Shahid was targeted while standing at the door. The explosions caused panic among the villagers, prompting many to rush outside, which allowed the attackers to flee. This violent episode is not the first such incident, as previous attacks on the victims remain under investigation.
