Ahead of the upcoming state elections and the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) supremo JP Nadda announced changes in the partys national office bearers team, effecting an organisational change in the party.BJP announces changes in the partys national office bearer teamIn the latest shifting, Bandi Sannjay, the ex-chief of the Telangana state unit, has been included as national general secretary along with Uttar Pradesh MLA Radha Mohan Agarwal replacing D Purandeshwari and CT Ravi, who have been appointed as state unit presidents of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, respectively.Moreover, the son of former Congress minister AK Anthony, Anil Anthony has been also included in the list of the national secretaries and Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, a Rajya Sabha MP from Assam.Saroj Pandey was dropped from the top post in 2020, now he has been appointed as national vice president, along with Saudan Singh, who was also a joint general secretary (organisation).In the team, Chhattisgarhs Lata Usendi, MPs Rekha Verma and Laxmikant from UP and MLC Tariq Mansoor have also been appointed.However, BL Sathosh and Shiv Prakash continue to remain the national general secretary and the joint general secretary respectively.Further, Assams Dilip Saikia has dropped as general secretary and Sunil Deodhar has been removed from the post of secretary.
