New Delhi: Former BJP MP from Kaiserganj, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh visited Raja Tola village to meet the family of the deceased SP leader Om Prakash Singh. During his visit, he expressed his heartfelt condolences and offered financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh. He also urged the government to provide additional financial support to the bereaved family.
The two daughters of the late Om Prakash Singh, in a display of their grief and desperation, asked Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh to ensure that strict action is taken against the accused. They requested that a bulldozer be used on the house of the perpetrators. Singh assured the daughters of his full support and promised to speak to the government to ensure justice is served.
Om Prakash Singh, a leader of the Samajwadi Party (SP), was murdered in Raja Tola's locality in the Parsapur police station area of Gonda. The police have arrested several suspects in connection with the case, though some remain at large.
In response to media queries about his political future, particularly regarding the possibility of becoming Deputy Chief Minister, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh made a revealing statement. "The BJP will not give me any chance," he said, adding that he is content with his current life and does not harbor unrealistic dreams.
Singh also took the opportunity to criticize his political opponents. He targeted SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav and urged him to stop making unfounded predictions. Yadav had previously stated that the NDA alliance would not last until 2025. Singh also took a jab at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, questioning his effectiveness as the Leader of Opposition. "Rahul Gandhi has not been able to fulfill the expectations of his own party and alliance," Singh remarked.
Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh emphasized the need for strict action against those responsible for Om Prakash Singh's murder. He praised the Yogi government for its stance against criminals and expressed confidence that all accused individuals would face justice.
