A restaurant owner has accused a Trinamool Congress MLA of beating her when the movie was being filmed in Kolkata. Anisul Alam, the proprietor of the eatery, and the legislator have reportedly filed complaints against one another. The report claims that the argument started between the two sides over parking the TMC MLA's and his assistants' automobiles in front of the restaurant in the New Town neighborhood close to the state capital.

TMC clashes over BJP?

The proprietor of the restaurant stated that he gave free permission for the shooting to take place in that area. But according to reports, Chakraborty's convoy's cars took up the entire parking lot. Alam stated that Chakraborty's men informed him that the actor is an MLA and close friend of Trinamool Congress national secretary Abhishek Banerjee when his staff asked the lawmaker's aides to move cars for other customers.

THIS happened next!

Abhishek's. It was then when suddenly Mr Chakraborty came and punched me on my face and kicked me in my abdomen," the restaurant owner was quoted by media. On the incident, Soham Chakraborty said, "The owner was abusing my staff and Abhishek Banerjee. He also abused me. I lost my cool and slapped him... I should have kept my cool and could have controlled my anger. I would like to apologize to the owner."

Regarding the incident, the ruling TMC came under fire from the Bharatiya Janata Party, which described it as a "green signal for tyranny."  The BJP posted a video of the incident on X and remarked, "Very horrifying! Soham Chakraborty, the TMC MLA, drags a restaurant employee by the collar and beats other people in New Town with his thugs. In West Bengal, the law is a tool of the thugs in the ruling party, thus Mamata Banerjee's police will do nothing."

“This rogue behavior epitomizes why TMC henchmen feel emboldened to commit relentless post-poll violence. The state’s silence and inaction are a green light for tyranny,” the BJP added.
