Hardwar Dubey, a senior member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and a sitting MP in the Rajya Sabha, has passed away aged 74 at a Delhi hospital.
The news of the minister’s demise was shared by his son, Pranshu Dubey. He had been ill with health issues for some time and was shifted to Delhi for treatment.
Dubey was a long-time member of the BJP and was a two-time MLA from his home town of Agra. He was a Minister of State under Kalyan Singh in 2013. He was also the BJP’s State Spokesperson from 2011 and the party’s State Vice President since 2013.
The news of Hardwar Dubey’s passing has led to many of his political colleagues offering their condolences to him.
Union Minister and BJP MP V Muraleedharan expressed his condolences to the departed minister via Twitter.
Rajkumar Chahar, BJP Lok Sabha MP from Fatehpur Sikri, tweeted in Hindi, “Received the sad news of the demise of senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha member Mr. Hardwar Dubey. This is an irreparable loss to the BJP family. I pray Lord Shri Ram to give him a place in his feet and give courage to his family members to bear this suffering. Humble tribute. Om Shanti.”
Rajendra Agarwal, BJP MP from Meerut-Hapur, tweeted, “Received the sad news about the demise of senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader, Honourable Rajya Sabha MP Shri Hardwar Dubey. I pray to God to give peace to the departed soul and strength to the family. Humble tribute.”
