The meeting focused on more than a dozen states where organizational elections have not been held till now. The appointment of the national president was stuck due to the delay of these elections.
According to sources, the names of new state presidents of about six states including Karnataka, Telangana, Uttarakhand, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh have been agreed. They can be officially announced in the next two-three days. As soon as the organizational elections of these states are completed, the path of the election of the national president will be cleared.
JP Nadda's term ended in January 2023, but his term has now been extended to 23 April 2025 due to Lok Sabha elections. He was given a 40 -day additional tenure by the BJP Parliamentary Board. Before this time limit is complete, PM Modi has started preparing to give a new direction to the organization.

He will also have to conduct a litmus test for assembly elections in challenging states like Bihar, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Assam and West Bengal. This is the reason that the party wants to choose the new president with full strategy and balance-which is a strong hold in the organization as well as the trusted of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah.
The BJP leadership is considering a plan to represent the youth up to 50% in the central team. Along with this, the participation of women will also be increased. Efforts will be made to take advantage of the experience by giving responsibility to senior leaders in the Parliamentary Board.
