BJP minster Rajyavardhan Singh slams Jaipur police over assault on army commando | VIDEO

New Delhi: A shocking incident has come to light from Rajsthan's Jaipur where an army commando was reportedly stripped naked and brutally beaten with sticks by Jaipur police officers.  The victim identifies as Arvind who is currently stationed in Jammu and Kashmir. 

The incident took place when Arvind went to a local police station seeking information about a case involving an army colleague. Disturbingly, the officers allegedly made derogatory remarks, asserting that the police are the father of the Indian Army.

Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore's Intervention

Following the incident, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports in Rajasthan, strongly condemned the brutal assault on an army officer by state police at a Jaipur police station, calling for the five officers involved to undergo mental health evaluations to assess their stability.

Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore reprimanded the police officers involved in the assault on an army officer, in the presence of the DGP and State Commissioner. He expressed his strong disapproval, stating that the officers had become complacent in their roles and had brought disrespect to the entire police department. The Minister rebuked them, saying, “Do you have any kind of patience? What are you here for- to showcase power or to serve the people? This is totally unacceptable.

Details of the assault

According to local reports, a disturbing incident unfolded at the Shiprapath Police Station in Jaipur, where an army officer had visited for official purposes, armed with a recommendation from a reputable source. However, instead of receiving the courtesy and respect due to his position, the officer was met with discourtesy and hostility by the police personnel. The situation rapidly escalated, culminating in a vicious physical assault on the army officer, with reports suggesting that he was even forced to strip off his clothes before being subjected to the brutal beating, leaving him humiliated and injured.
