Viral Video: A video showing BJP leader Karnail Singh making inflammatory remarks has sparked outrage on social media, particularly among the minority community. In the video, Singh is seen threatening to "kill 2 lakh Muslims" while speaking in front of police officials. This alarming statement has caused widespread concern and anger. The incident reportedly took place in the Sangam Vihar area of New Delhi. According to locals, Singh's remarks followed the discovery of a cow's head in the colony on June 22. This discovery, deeply offensive to many, escalated tensions in the area.

Inflammatory statement

In the video, Singh is heard saying, "You have 48 hours to do whatever you want to do. Otherwise, whether there are 1.5 lakh Muslims here or 2 lakh, we will kill them all." This statement has been perceived as a serious threat, leading to panic among residents.

Community's response

In response, members of the Muslim community filed a complaint against Singh, demanding his arrest and the imposition of the National Security Act (NSA) against him. The complaint emphasized the fear and anxiety his words have caused, with concerns that such provocative statements could incite violence.

Tensions in Sangam Vihar

A resident reported that members of the Hindutva movement have been visiting the area frequently, raising hostile slogans such as "send them (Muslims) to Pakistan" and labeling them as "terrorists." This has added to the unease among the local Muslim population.

Singh's apology to community

Following the backlash, Karnail Singh released another video attempting to clarify his earlier remarks. In this video, Singh explained that he was deeply disturbed by the act of cow slaughter and, in his anger, said things he now regrets. He stated, "As you all know, on 21 June, in Sangam Vihar, someone slaughtered a cow and placed its head near the temple. While speaking to police officials, I couldn't bear the pain of the cow's slaughter. I said something in anger that I shouldn't have said. My intention was not to hurt anyone's sentiments or the community's sentiments."

Apology to community

Concluding his video, Singh offered an apology to the community, saying, "I would like to apologize to my people and my countrymen." Despite his apology, the incident has left a significant impact on the community, with many still feeling the sting of his harsh words.
