New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) suspended one of its leaders from Uttarakhands OBC Commission on Wednesday. This action came after he was accused of being involved in the rape and murder of a 14-year-old girl in Haridwar. According to the Indian Express, the BJP leader was one of the two people booked for murder of a young girl.BJP leader get suspension letter On Wednesday, BJP state general secretary Aditya Kothari sent a letter saying: Following BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt jis orders, Aditya Raj Saini, a member of the OBC Morcha, is immediately expelled from BJP.According to the police, the victims body was found on the Roorkee-Haridwar highway. The victims mother accused the husband of the local village head, who is a member of BJPs Uttarakhand OBC Morcha and also part of the state governments OBC Commission, along with his accomplice, of raping and killing her daughter.Police investigation underwayThe FIR identifies the accused as Aditya Raj Saini and Amit Saini. Both suspects have been charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) including murder, gang rape, and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.The Haridwar Police have declined to provide further details about the case, stating only that they have instructed the City Superintendent of Police (SP) and formed five teams to handle the case promptly and effectively, as reported by IE.Haridwars Senior Superintendent of Police, Pramendra Dobhal, stated that all teams formed have different tasks to gather scientific evidence and other proofs. The investigation of the case is fair and impartial. There will be no tolerance for negligence, and no criminals involved will escape punishment.
