Jagat Prakash Nadda, the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has had his term extended until June 2024. On Sunday, February 18, at the BJP national conference in New Delhi, the party announced its decision. It is now evident that Nadda will lead the party into the 2024 Lok Sabha elections as a result of the extension. The party's national council reached the decision, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah made the news. Part of the BJP's one-person, one-post policy, Jagat Prakash Nadda became the party's president in 2019 when Amit Shah relinquished office to become the Union Home Minister.
Nadda was the party's acting working president at the time. In 2020, he assumed full-time leadership. Former BJP politician and Union Home Minister JP Nadda made the announcement, mentioning the highest strike rate in Bihar under JP Nadda's leadership. In Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal, the NDA secured victories and grew in numbers. as they triumphed in Gujarat as well.
BJP chief JP Nadda called on all BJP members to ensure that the party wins more than 370 seats and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) crosses 400 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Nadda made this statement while speaking at the national conclave on Saturday. He also expressed his "firm belief in the strengths and capabilities" of party workers.
"I have a firm belief in the strengths and capabilities of our karyakartas. We have to make our booths stronger and stronger. We must pull all our energies into ensuring that we cross 370 seats and the NDA crosses 400," the BJP national president said.c
