Reacting to the ongoing controversy over Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren's age, BJP spokesperson Pratul Shah Deo on Saturday said that Hemant Soren's government has run Jharkhand on lies and deceit for five years, adding that Jharkhand CM is proving "Einstein's relativity theory" and is giving it a new meaning.

His comment came after Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren's wife and JMM MLA Kalpana Soren accused BJP of being scared of Hemant Soren and not getting enough topics, hence, they are bringing this 'age controversy' to the limelight. "My reply to Kalpana Soren, would be, we didn't start this, it was started by your husband. Chief Minister Hemant Soren in 2019 under oath swore that he was 42 years old in front of a magistrate. And again the Chief Minister in 2024 swore under oath infront of a magistrate that he is 49 years old. So, your husband is proving Einstein's relativity theory and is giving him a new meaning. See, in five years, how can a person age seven years? That was started by Hemant Soren himself. Hemant Soren's government has run this state on lies and deceit for five years. And even during its political days, it has again resorted to lies and deceit," Pratul Shah Deo told ANI.

BJP MP Deepak Prakash attacked Hemant Soren and said that he has taken the entire Jharkhand towards anarchy.
"If anyone has taken the entire Jharkhand towards anarchy today, it is the Hemant Soren government... Under whose protection are these things happening? Who has looted the mineral wealth that nature has given us?... The tribals are in danger today, their culture is in danger... Champai Soren is also a tribal, Sita Soren was also a tribal but with what indifference did you (Hemant Soren) evict them... Stop cheating in the name of tribals," Deepak Prakash said.

On Friday, in a counterattack to the controversies surrounding Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren's age, his wife and JMM MLA Kalpana Soren questioned whether age has become such a major factor. She further took a jibe at the BJP, saying that they are scared of Hemant Soren and are not getting enough topics, hence, they are bringing this 'age controversy' to the limelight.

"Has age become such a major factor?... I think if you (BJP) are so scared of Hemant Soren, you are not getting any topic...You have seen your future and your fear says that you have been so scared of Hemant Soren ever since you sent him to jail and he came out...Today, the people of Jharkhand trust Hemant Soren...," Kalpana Soren said on Friday.
